Week 18 was not a very busy week in the grand scheme of things. It was filled with pictures showing the routine type things we seem to be doing at the moment like running errands at the shops, work, chopping wood for the onslaught of the inclement winter weather, soccer and visiting family. The photos contained a lot of green and blues with a pop of red. When looking for a kit to compliment these colours I found a collaboration between Sahlin Studios and Sugarplum Paperie called 'Life As We Know It.' This kit, with coordinating journal cards, is very pretty and contains quite a bit of pink. I decided to focus on the blue, green and red/orange elements in the kit and fleshed it out a bit with a couple of extra journaling cards from my digital stash. The 'you make me so happy' card came from Jenn Barrette's 'Lucky' pocket cards and the neutral card with red/orange border is from Digital Design Essentials Foxtastic journal cards.
This photo also gives you a closer look at Jenn Barrette's 'you make me so happy' card. Even though it is from another designer it worked in well when I re-coloured some things to match this cards light minty colour.
I actually broke out some of my Becky Higgins' photo overlays to add to some dead space in the soccer photos. I didn't use the whole 6x4 overlay, I cut them down to fit the spaces. Digital stamps can create the same look if you don't own any overlays.
Once again, thanks for stopping by ....
