Well there is a method to my madness. I am currently working on Week 28, which is still not up to date and I am OK with that. My reasoning has to do with the premise that you should start from the beginning, and my beginning is Week 15.
This was the week when I officially completed my first ever hybrid-digital layout. It was quite an accomplishment for me since the only guidance that I had in the process was a self-paced, online class from Jessica Sprague (which I totally recommend by the way) and words of wisdom from that new friend I mentioned in my last post. (You know who you are <3)
The spread is pretty simple as a whole. I used pretty much the same kit for everything as I only had a few kits in my digital stash at that point in time. Let me just say that my collection is growing at a rather rapid rate, but I am getting sidetracked.
Hello Giggles by Miss Mint was the kit that I chose to work with. She has a gorgeous selection of products on her site, but her LIP or Life In Pictures kits interest me the most. LIP kits contain a lovely selection of themed journal cards and the 'Hello' collection kits that come out monthly, contain that and so much more. |
I enjoyed experimenting with the use of digital stamps from this kit and also Miss Mint’s Easter Brights kit, since my eldest son had his Easter Hat Parade at school. I simply re-coloured two of the stamps to a crisp white and left the other in its original state. I love how they add a ‘little something’ to an otherwise standard photo or journal card. |
