Despite the need for sleep, I thought I would pay my blog some much-needed attention, and share another week from my PL with you. So, sit back and take a look at Week 25.
Since my last three weeks saw the use of kits from the same designer, I felt that it was time to break free from routine and use a kit from another designer. Upon sifting through my ever-growing digi stash, I came across the Everyday Life May 2014 kit from another talented designer, Juno Designs. When you purchase one of Juno's full Everyday Life kits, you are getting value for money. The kits are usually packed with journal cards including some square designs, pattern and solid papers, a vast array of embellishments and some cool stamps. A bonus alpha or two may also make an appearance. May's kit was no exception and featured a lovely colour palette that appealed to me greatly when putting this spread together.
I was lucky enough to capture two moments in my boys’ lives with the help of my iPhone. These were moments that I would not normally have been able to capture with a DSLR, since they were fleeting and time sensitive..
These are the moments that we would otherwise forget. I thank my lucky stars that I have been able to document these fleeting moments and to record the stories behind them. What would we do without PL?
I decided to add cork stickers to my embellishment clusters this week for a bit of variety. I kept the consistency and balance in the design by repeating the cork elements across both sides of the spread. I also only stuck to arrows so that it tied in with the arrow digital stamps I used on the 'Noted' journal card I talked about earlier in the post. Enamel dots were added to some of the printed embellishments from Juno's kit. They finish any cluster off nicely and come in a vast array of colours. I may or may not have a pack of every colour in the enamel dot family. I'm just a little addicted to them!
